Furnace Installation & Replacement
Replacing a furnace is a good moment to ask whether a furnace is still the right machine for the house. Sometimes it plainly is. Sometimes a heat pump does both jobs for less, and there is money on the table for making that switch.

Signs it is time
- Furnace is 15–20+ years old
- Repeated repairs in consecutive seasons
- Cracked heat exchanger found on inspection
- Rooms that never get warm regardless of runtime
- Rising gas bills with no change in usage
- Original equipment still in place from when the house was built
Furnace or heat pump
A gas furnace is still the straightforward choice in plenty of homes — particularly where gas service is already in place, the ductwork suits it, and the electrical panel has no headroom for a heat pump.
But if you are also running an aging air conditioner, a heat pump replaces both with one system, and it is the configuration nearly every current California rebate is written around. We will lay out both numbers, including the rebate side, and let you decide.
What is included
Permit, removal and haul-away of the old unit, new flue and gas connections to code, condensate handling for high-efficiency equipment, and startup readings recorded on site. Licensed and Bonded, CSLB #1107541.
Where the existing ductwork is the actual limiting factor, we say so in the quote instead of installing a better furnace onto the same restriction.

Common Questions
How much does a new furnace cost?
It varies with capacity, efficiency tier, and how much of the surrounding work — flue, gas line, condensate, duct modification — the job requires. We quote after seeing the installation, and the quote is the price.
How long does furnace installation take?
A direct replacement in an accessible location is generally a single day. Attic and crawlspace installations, or jobs that include duct work, can extend to two.
Is a high-efficiency furnace worth it?
In this climate, the heating season is mild enough that the payback period on the top efficiency tier is long. That budget often produces more comfort if it goes into duct sealing or zoning instead. We will tell you where your money actually works hardest.
